Ready for September’s Total Lunar Eclipse?
On the night of September 27–28, the full Moon will plunge completely through Earth’s shadow for the last time until January 2018. We will be having open house at the observatory starting at 7PM Sunday. We will simultaneously be showing the eclipse as it takes place on the big screen in the warm room from 7Pm to 11 PM. Additionally we’ll be using the 16 ” RC telescope in the dome for public viewing. We will also setup astronomical binoculars and telescopes outside the observatory for more viewing. All this of course is weather dependent. So hope for clear skies and come join the fun.
